Type 304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, containing 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It is non-magnetic in its annealed state and offers exceptional ductility and formability. Its 2-B mill finish is a smooth, moderately reflective cold-rolled finish common for general applications.
