Type 304 stainless steel is a versatile austenitic alloy known as "18-8" for its 18% chromium and 8% nickel content. This composition provides exceptional resistance to corrosion from atmospheric and chemical agents. Manufactured to meet ASTM A276 standards, this bar is supplied in an annealed condition, making it non-magnetic, highly ductile, and easily welded for a wide range of fabrication projects.
