304 stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy (“18-8”) valued for its outstanding combination of corrosion resistance, strength, and fabricability. This flat bar is produced in an annealed condition to ASTM A276 standards, which ensures excellent ductility and weldability. Its composition provides robust defense against atmospheric and chemical agents, making it a reliable material for long-lasting applications. It is non-magnetic and cannot be hardened by heat treatment.
