Type 304 stainless steel, also known as "18-8", is the most widely used austenitic chromium-nickel alloy. This grade is supplied in an annealed condition, making it non-magnetic and highly ductile. Conforming to ASTM A276, it offers excellent weldability for all standard methods and remarkable resistance to a wide range of atmospheric and chemical corrosives, making it a reliable choice for long-lasting fabrications.
