6061-T6 aluminum round bar is a precipitation-hardened alloy containing magnesium and silicon, solution heat-treated and artificially aged for superior strength. This process results in a material with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, very good corrosion resistance, and good machinability. Compliant with ASTM B211, it is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys for general-purpose structural and fabrication work.
