6061-T6 aluminum is a precipitation-hardened alloy containing magnesium and silicon, solution heat-treated and artificially aged for optimal strength. This process results in a material with a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent weldability, and superior corrosion resistance. Conforming to ASTM B211, it is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys for general-purpose structural and fabrication projects.
