6061-T6 is a precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy containing magnesium and silicon, solution heat-treated and artificially aged to achieve optimal strength. This process results in a material with a high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance, and good weldability. Conforming to ASTM B211, it is one of the most widely used aluminum grades for general-purpose structural and fabrication applications.
